I found that the image that best describes my experience in the teaching program is teacher as learned practitioner. I feel as though the program gives you information about some things you might experience when you are teaching and gives you different ways to handle it. I like this type of learning because it gives me some preparation on what to expect when I go out in the field and teach. The program does not always have details on how to solve specific situations like racism, sexism, bullying, etc. in a classroom setting, but gives more of a background and how we can try to eliminate these types of things as teachers. Kumashiro mentions these types of things in chapter 1 as well as how to manage a classroom just like the program does and he also talks about how to learn what we want to teach, which is what some of our educational classes are about.
