Bullying has come up a lot this week I’ve noticed. Last Thursday in ECS 110 we were giving a presentation by the Canadian Red Cross and today I had the tv turned on waiting for Ellen and Dr.Phil was on and the subject was about bullying.
I personally have never been bullied, but I have had friends who have suffered throughout their entire life. Bully is something that we need to get rid of in order to have a healthy and safe environment for children of today, as well as the future. In order to stop bullying, we need to take a stand and speak up. If you know of someone who is getting bullied or has been, talk to them or someone of higher authority. Becoming teachers means that we are going to have to start helping those children who are suffering and I hope that everyone who reads this blog will do something in the career to help just one student.
Another helpful hint is to inform kids about the children’s helpline, it’s free and may help them greatly. The number is: 1-800-668-6868
